Delmae Heights Elementary

November 3, 2017

We are proud to have worked with Florence School District 1 on the construction of a new elementary school for their community.

Delmae Heights Elementary School was built to be able to teach 1,200 students. With 128,000 square feet and state of the art technology, the new school was a much needed improvement upon the existing 60 year old school that it replaced. The school contains a cafeteria / multipurpose room, kitchen, media center, office and guidance areas, choral, art room, 3 computer labs, 51 classrooms, and 8 kindergarten rooms with 1 science lab.

Construction began in March of 2016 and was completed at the end of this summer. The doors opened to students and teachers for the first time in August 2017 at the beginning of the new school year. Bart Sease was our project manager on this school and Tab Coward was our superintendent.

“The biggest thing that makes this school special is that it replaced a 60 year old school that was out of date and too small for the community,” said Sease. “It is now a state of the art school with all of the latest technology. The entry way of the school and the adjoining media center is the focal point of the school. There are high ceilings with a lot of clouds. But my favorite part of Delmae Elementary would be the colors that the school chose to use. They’re very bright and tropical. There is a lot of bright purple, orange, green, and blue.”

Congratulations on your new school, Delmae Heights. Go Dawgs!
